At the Okanagan Regional Championship Meet, the 2024 Recipient of the Ross Hoshizaki Memorial Bursary was selected, and the award goes to Erin Epp of the Keloena Ogopogo Swim Club.

Ross Hoshizaki was an instrumental figure in our Region for many years. His love of the sport was immeasurable. Ross dedicated many hours in order for our Regions swimmers to excel. Ross was not only a swim dad and the Regional Director, but a mentor to many parents, swimmers and coaches. It is because of Ross’s dedication to BCSSA that our region has a fantastic timing system set up, we are the envy of many swim clubs for our system.

The Okanagan Regional board would like to honour Ross with this bursary because of his encouragement to our coaches. Ross was often found giving words of wisdom and collaborating with our coaches to assist them with being the best that they could be. Ross is greatly missed by our officials, coaches, swimmers and parents in the Okanagan.

This bursary is in memory of all of his hard work.
